Can you tell me, what is the critter,thingy in this picture. Thanks Kev
 
It's an annoying crinoid! They jump at divers and attach themselves to your legs, arms or anywhere that they want. They're very brittle, and crunch when you try to brush them off.

 
Also known as feather star (although the one in the pic, unlike the one in the cool video is balled up)
 
Half balled up and half out looking for something to grab hold of..
