UAE Dive Site advice needed

Hiya all,

So have a 4 days trip to Adgat, Fujairah with the Family and plan to do some diving. Staying at the Sandy Beach Hotel and Resort who have a number of local dive spots they frequent. Any one dived in the area? Any advice on dives site is appreciated. Is October a good time to go to this location?

Sandy beach's dive center is pretty good.

That whole coastline has some very nice sites.
Both shallow and some relatively deep (24 to 30 meters).
Furthest sites are 25 minutes away. Most are within 10 to 20 minutes away.

The major plus with Sandy beach is their house reef at the big rock.
Takes about 5 to 8 minutes you swim from shore and then do laps around the rock.

October will still be skin suit weather. About 25 to 26 celcius.

What's your dive level?

Sites vary from 7 meter reefs to wrecks at 31 meters.

Thanks so water temps are similar to Doha at that time of year then. Am AOW with wreck specialty with 200-300 odd dives under the belt. Depths wont be an issue. Cheers for the info

If Sandy beach don't do night dives, Divers Down next door do night dives.

A shore night dive on Snoopy Rock is very nice and you can have a beer in hand within minutes of your feet hitting terra firma.

When booking Sandy Beach ask for accommodation near the dive centre.

Best dive sties in close proximity are:

Snoopy Deep (aka Gunther's Wrecks) at 26m
Inchcape 1 (Wreck) 30m
Three Rocks (Max 12m)
Snoopy Rock (Max 8m at high tide on the seaward side)

North of there is Dibba Rock which has a couple of dive sites around it 10-12m range
Also the Reserve, which are fish balls at around 16m, but I'm not sure that SB Dive Centre goes there.
And just off Dibba Rock is Cauliflower Gardens at 40m if you're feeling adventurous. However under the new ownership I'm not sure if they might go there.

South you have:

Anemone Gardens (26m)
Inchcape 2 Wreck 22m)
Martini Rock (19m)
Hole in the Wall) (8-12m)

Further south you need to use another dive op based out of Fujairah Marina - Barracuda Dive Centre.

Im only there for 4 days / 3 nights. Quick Family get away and meeting of mates who live in the UAE. So will only do two dives this time round
