Do your AOW if you feel you are comfortable with all the skills you have encountered during your OW course.
However there is no substitute for time in the water. The more diving you can get in the more comfortable you will be with your equipment and environment.

Do not get careless or take the sea for granted.
Dive with a buddy, preferably one with a lot of experience.
Watch other around you, learn from what they do well as well as what the do wrong.

Have fun diving is the most enjoyable experience , well with a couple of exceptions , that you will have in your life.
