I wonder if these gizmos really work.

Shark Shield

There's an interesting thread on diveoz regarding these devices. I've noticed that there is much negativity towards these devices, but usually by people who have not had experience with the devices or a need to use them. On the other hand most people I've talked to who use them frequently are quite pleased with them and the results.

It should be noted that they don't repel all sharks. (Just the ones that count) :eyebrow:

I've personally borrowed and worn one a couple of times when diving in waters prone to great whites, and my buddy and I didn't have a problem with the device. (Even though I tried to shock my buddy at the time. :))
 
1. Think to myself - WOW! Awesome!
2. Take a picture or shoot some video
3. If it's bigger than me, move slowly out of it's way... but if it's smaller than me... make him go around
4. Tell all my friends how awesome a dive I had!
