Where do you dive in Virginia?

I have a few days of work related travel scheduled for DC and then in Richmond. My next project does begins end of Sept. I will have about two weeks of time to spare. Where do local divers in this area go to dive and how can I buddy up?

The local spot near here is Lake Phoenix, in Rawlings, VA. It is about an hour south of Richmond and is a dive quarry.

There are also a few dives in the Potomac if you do deep, dark, and current. The U-1105 is on that list.
