Thanks all.
I just read a review in Scuba Diving mag, in which they apparently measured the amount of light intensity at the middle and at 12" from the middle on several lights. The PT LED light appears to have a fairly focused light which should be pretty good for murky dark water and may be a good light for us. The HID lights look nice buy pretty expensive since we need be buy two of everything
