Humm I'll have to look for that tool, and I thought RAW just ment shoot the picture naturally, I don't think my camera can save files as different formats, it's only a coolpix. Thanks.

RAW is the format that all digital camera's initially capture an image using. After collecting the RAW data from the sensor it's then put through a filter process, and converted into whatever file format and then written to the storage media.

RAW files also go through the filter, however the output format is RAW, so the filters can be changed. Not EVERY option on the DSLR can be controlled by RAW processing software, but the important ones can.

Also don't expect to fix focus problems, large exposure problems, or issues like camera shake by shooting RAW. RAW can fix some problems, but the best policy IMO is to shoot the best image possible in camera.
