I always enjoy watching the old videos of JYC and his team diving the Thistlegorm and doing things you would never do today...
This also answers the many questions about what kind of dive suit is needed in the Red Sea.:wink:

first time I dove there was 20 year ago, and it was really nice...

last time was a night dive 2 year ago... really nice, as there was a strong current, nobody there...

but if you arrive at the same time with 5 other boats, thus together with 80 other divers...
 
The trouble with wrecks, of course, is that even when they are really large (like the Thistlegorm), they're always smaller than most reefs. So diving popular wrecks within recreational limits is rarely an exclusive experience. I always prefer low-seasons dives on Thistlegorm. A much nicer experience all-round.
