Now I'm not at all that I qualify as an old fart diver, but I do have two back packs one of wich I still use and I have a tank that has a top mounted valve without a reserve feature. I removed the reserve valve on two tanks and plugged the hole. Oh and by the way Reef Seal I was in Sea d Sea a couple of weeks ago in the Village. I had my daughter certified there maybe 8 yrs ago.
