Having problems with downloading stinger on laptop

Hey everyone,

I have the suunto stinger, and i cant seem to download the profiles on my laptop. when i plug it in, it doesnt recognize the computer, and says the dive logbook is empty. anyone else see this before?

what version of the software you useing?

newer version of that program available from Suunto,
http://www.suuntosports.com/mysuunto/downloads/SDM16.exe

You can get the newest 2.2.0 ( although you need 2.1.3 installed first) version too. It has a little better 'feel' ( at least I think so) then the Version 1.

I don't have 1,4 but 1.6 will search for the interface automaticly,
Main Menu-> Transfer-> PC Interface Setup-> Test

Is your's finding the interface or just not finding the computer?

I would suggest that you make sure that you are getting a good contact between the Stinger and the transfer cable. You have to be quick because it will time out after 20 or 30 seconds. If it times out you have to restart the ENTIRE proceedure.
