I currently own Roli's PC Interface (a custom serial download cable for the suunto vyper). So far it works great for my Suunto Vyper, but now that i'm thinking of upgrading to the vyper 2 I was curious if anyone know if it works with the Vyper 2? Or do I need to buy the official download cable from suunto? Thanks.
 
The Gekko, Vyper, Vyper2, Cobra, Cobra2, and (I believe) Vytec all use the same interface. You're all set.
 
Father Christmas gave me a nice new Vyper 2. I have used a Vyper since 1999. However could not find anyway of switching the Vyper 2 into transfer mode, manual said nothing at all! Spoke with Suunto and they said that the Vyper 2 ONLY WORKS WITH THE USB INTERFACE, as the serial one does not provide the necessary power!
