I'm a Fish!
I am new to the Scuba Board and this im my first post in this forum.

Have not been very active last couple for years and started diving again recently since I got my twilve year old daughter certified over the summer. Now I manage to get out around twice a month.

I was wondering what are considered appropriate tips for the boatmen and/or the DM? Does this vary in practice depending on location / resort ?

I live in Manila so I usally dive in Anilao.

Maybe a general concesus on what tips are normally considered appropriate can be derived from this thread.

Tip the people that make you happy... from the boatman to DM to bartender to chef. How much to tip... depends on how happy you are. The more the merrier for them. I look at tips as my gauge on how happy I was during my vacation. I noticed that I tip more when I am happy.

So tip away!!!!!!!!!....... (read "Enjoy your vacations!")
