Hello friends,

It's that time of year, when we all think about giving presents to each other and our loved ones. For some, it's easy: somehow my kids always give me another tie, and they don't make good reg necklaces! i know cuz I have tried! :D

For others, it's tough so here's a sure fire suggestion! Give a Scuba Class! That's right, invest in your next Scuba Buddy by giving them lessons to go get certified to dive. Then you won't have to leave them behind when you go on your Scuba Safaris.

If they are already certified, give them some continuing education or even some dive gear! There are lots of great companies that support ScubaBoard, and you could show them some Holiday Spirit by supporting them as well! Check the ads at the top and sides of the forums, or even the Hot Deals section.

So, go play Santa! Help the economy as well as some retailers and in the long run you'll find that you are helping yourself with yet another new buddy, or at least one that is extremely grateful! Take care!

Giving a ScubaBoard membership is also a great Christmas presents for your friends on the board.

This beats the heck out of the implied suggestion I saw a couple of weeks ago. There's a porn shop just off the freeway in the Phoenix metro that had a big banner saying, "YOUR HOLIDAY GIFT HEADQUARTERS!"

Yeah, Scuba lessons or Scubaboard membership are much better gift ideas than sex toys, because I don't need any brain bleach after thinking about various family members making use of Scuba lessons...

ScubaBoard Supporter gifts are inexpensive and appropriate for the person who seems to have everything.

And with the gift, you can make up suggestions for subtitles! Hee . . .

Hey! This wasn't supposed to be about ScubaBoard but about Scuba! I have to say that I am a bit embarrassed by your posts and yet my heart is warmed by the sentiment! You guys ROCK!

Maybe Tiny HowardE will get that new crutch for Christmas after all! :D

But really, the economy is still hurting a number of shops and instructors. Helping them out during their traditional slow season will mean that they will be there next year when you need a new o-ring or air fill! Just call me Santa NetDoc. :D
