Does anyone have some advice on dive ops in Ft. Lauderdale? Hopefully to do something a little more interesting than a cattle boat, maybe even some intro to tec?

I should be over there for most of feb, so looking into things ahead of time.

Cheers. :cool2:

Intro to Tec? Are you looking for an instructor or a dive op?

Call Oliver at Avid Divers: http://www.aviddivercharters.com/

Oliver runs a good six pack that does recreational and tech trips. Definitely not a cattle boat.

Thanks for that, I suppose that would be good for a trip or 2. I couldn't get the link to work though.

Really looking for an OP that will rent gear so I can get started with extended range/tec deep/adv nitrox or the like.

Oliver doesn't rent gear, but Fill Express does rent doubles, backplates, etc.

ONESPEED and Howarde are giving you solid advice.
If Oliver on Avid Diver isn't working out for you, try Conrad Nix on the Miss Conduct, they run similar operations: Welcome to Miss Conduct Dive Charters

I'm diving with Avid Diver Saturday :)

So I've found:-

Dixie Divers
Fillexpress
Brownies

Any experience with either of them for tec training? Brownies is GUE, so although I intend to at least do fundies I think I'd be more likely to go for TDI (fillexpress) or Dsat (dixie).

Thanks.
