I bought a new low pressure hose and went to install it and noticed that it will not fit. There is a black thing in the octo that will not let the new hose attach to it. Do I need a special adapter or does that black thing just come out?

I can't get to my LDS for a few days, so I thought I would ask here.

Will I have the same problem with my Maximus? I bought a longer hose that I need to install on it.
 
Nevermind, I made it to my LDS and got it all worked out.
