Hi All,
I went out with Pat on his Parker 6pak this past weekend for some spearfishing looking for Grouper, Halibut, and Lesser Jacks...
Conditions:
Viz 30ft+ top column , 15-30 last 20ftto the bottom
Water was cool at the bottom (short was fine)
Current varied from low to a nice clip
Trip Notes:
We were 5 so we dropped 3/2 on a marker tossed by the non-diving team.
Pickups were live boat and currents were variable. A down line was provided.
Hit four sites, two were wrecks, one a chicken coop, and one a flat reef.
I saw lots of Amber Jacks and baitfish.
Operator Notes:
Nitrox tanks were nicely labeled with a decimal on the reading (ie. 31.7 or 32.3) and my measure was within the error of the reader.
The deck is big enough that 4 people can get ready at once without a problem. Maybe 6 considerate divers could manage.
There are comfy bean bag chairs for the trip out.
Lots of space for fish and good snacks/drinks were provided.
This was a great diving experience!
