Maldives or similans ?

Hi all,
I am forty at christmas and trying to decide on something special to celebrate with, I am into big stuff. Which would be the better option for a xmas / birthday treat ? the Maldives or the similans ?
Thanks in advance and I would appreciate a speedy response as I am going to have to book soon.

Both are in high season when you plan to travel and both could deliver what you are after. However a week in the Maldives will give you a better chance of seeing whale sharks, manta rays and sharks. Lots of specials on offer in the Maldives at the moment too.

 

[Centrals]

Maldives is head and shoulder above Similan.
A lot more epxensive but well worth it.
However, a lot lot more top side attractions in the Kingdom.
