Hello. Just wanted to pop in and say hello to all that use this board.
Looking forward to my first certified dives in the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami, FL region. I hear it is some of the best out there.
If you're local and use this site, please introduce yourself and maybe we'll see each other at a site someday.

Be safe!

Steve

Hey there, Steve. Welcome to SB! This is a great place with a wealth of experienced divers. I try to spend a couple of hours here each week and wish I had time for more.

Best to you from Seattle.

Hiya and welcome to diving and Scubaboard. Check out the Florida Conch Divers
http://www.scubaboard.com/forumdisplay.php?f=55 that's where you can find more specific info on diving in Florida.

There are a lot of us beach divers here on the board, and we dive LBTS quite often. Join us some time. Trips planned are posted in the Trips & happenings section. Any trip posted is an invitation to join the fun.

Certifying in south Florida instead of a cold, murky quarry. How much fun is that?

Yep, as long as you're going to live in the hurricane state, you might as well take advantage of the diving. I see you already have good directions to your local dive club forum. Also check our New Divers forum...
