hello hello,
I must say you are the NICEST dive community i've met so far and i'm proud to be a new member!
First off i guess an introduction is required; My name's Tom and i'm based in south Wales UK, but i study in the University of Birmingham England reading Marine Biology.

I've been diving for two years now and logged 150ish dives, qualifying as a bsac dive leader PADI rescue. I just got back from an expedition to s.e. Sulawesi, Indonesia two days ago and am in a bit of a pickle! Before i left for asia, i invested in a new BCD, the Mares vector pro; a useless piece of kit! the low pressure inflator leaked incessantly and the pocket ripped off! So after a refund i'm investing in a new jacket- either the Tigullio hover or the sea quest pro QD. I would very much appreciate any opinions you chaps have on either (the sea quest seems pretty highly rated so far, so info on the tigullio would be cracking!) any info on the size details would be great as well- the sites provide all specs but it would be good to hear the sizes you guys use relative to your size- i'm 6.1 and around 200 pounds!
your assistance in this matter is much obliged!

regards, your friend in Wales!

Is there an echo in here? :D
Hey Thomas, welcome to SB, If you'd like post these BC question here for better vis.

Welcome to the board!
I was going to warn you that you'd be told to get a BP&W rather then a BC but they beat me to the punch!

heya Tom...

Welcome welcome welcome.... I hate to say it, but i have to agree with the men folk on this one, go for a back plate and wing.... If you still want the Pro QD, you'll be a large

Welcome to the board. I agree with the above. Go and get the backplate and wing.... You want regret it. I wish I would have gone that way in the beginning.

cheers for the replies all! i'm subsequently investigating the bp/w option! as a stupid question, whats the benefit of the setup as oppossed to the bc? thanks to david, i've checked out the scubapro knighthawk so far, but it looks like a normal bc, whats the difference?!
Regards- your puzzled friend in Wales!

Yep pardner - it is a friendly site overall - one of the things I love about it. Glad you joined us, and good luck on your BC shopping.
