Does anyone know where my blanket happend to end up? It was on the clothes line last I saw it, but forgot to take it with me.

It's either with Denny or John. We noticed it Sunday morning. It was with Denny when I left, but I'm not sure if he took it or left it with John.

If whoever has it gets back to Gilboa they could let it there. I'll be back next weekend.... and several other weekends before the snow really starts to fly. It was good meeting you Hoosier!

Y'all missed me starting to look stable in a set of doubles, it was a GREAT dive :D
Ber :lilbunny:

Agreed that the dive ended better than it began. If I remember correctly you nearly drowned on the surface when you flipped over on your back without your reg in.:rofl3:

Sorry I missed out on my hug! Now you owe me one. Does this mean that I can post off topic once without moderation?:no:no:no

Oh yeah, Randy I have your blanket. I told you a couple of times to get it off the line. Oh and the group finished off your nuts too. When I say the group I mean everyone but me, I wasn't gonna touch your nuts.

Oh... and Mitten... I realized we forgot to sign your trailer when we turned onto CR12 (or is it SR12)... we'll sign it next time. :)

This is because the night dive I took Rod on wasn't it? You can admit it it turned out to be a real cluster. Ripped dry gloves and not enough weight can really prevent you from burning through any air.

I just wanted to once again thank everyone for being so kind and welcoming to a newbie. I had never been on SB before this weekend, so it was a pleasant surprise to meet everyone that was there, get some good dives in, and even better food.

Hopefully I'll be available this spring to come down, but I'll come prepared this time.

-Geoff (from ZD)

Glad you could join us Geoff. It was nice meeting you. Ya see, regardless of what you've heard over on ZD, we're not so bad to hang out with. :D

NO!! That's absolutely NOT why we didn't sign your trailer! You silly man! After I had changed clothes, we gathered all our stuff up and moved down to DH's and Denny's campsite. Then Rod went on the night dive, changed clothes, and we were on the road pretty fast after that. We truly forgot to go back down and sign it.

Rod was fine with the night dive. Actually, he was having issues with being underweighted too... he had switched from Randy's BP/W to his own BC, and didn't think to add weight to his belt. Don't be so tough on yourself! ***** happens, and you two dealt with it fine.

I had my own issues too. My first dive was underweighted. 24 minutes into the dive, we wandered to shallower water (about 15-20 ft) and all of a sudden, I was incredibly light. I tried to fin downward and to deeper water and an ascent line... but couldn't make it. Poor Randy actually tried to hold me down, and it was futile, we thumbed the dive. (Thank you, Randy, for helping!) I surfaced feet first, finning down the whole time up, so I wouldn't pop up too fast. (Did that make sense?) Gotta love the feeling of your fins flippin' around out of the water... sheesh! How's that for a cluster? :shakehead: (I found out afterwards, that Rod put the wrong weights in my belt... my fault, I didn't check it.)

Hey! :mooner: I'll have you know that those "ZD" folks (that are also SB members LOL)... welcomed him to this event! :) He wouldn't even know it was going on had we not mentioned it. :mooner:

Geoff, it was very nice to meet you! Hopefully, we'll see you at a dive site soon! Keep in touch!

Hey Crew,

Here are some picts. from M & G: Mitten diver going diving and making his famous sausage dip; Trucker Girl and her trademark beany, Mitten Diver's famous dive log on the door of his trailer (if you haven't signed it yet, what's the problem?)your's truly cooking up the kielbasa, and a group shot of those fortunate enough to have been there.

Thanks to all who made it to the Fall M & G. The weather was great, the food was excellent, the diving was outstanding; but more important, the comeraderie was out of sight. There's just nothing like divers getting together, no matter what age or gender, background, or experience.

As usual, what happens at M & G stays at M & G; however, you just must ask Mitten Diver about his 10:00 PM phone call and the results of that. Divin' Hoosier tried to take a spider diving with him---gee Jim, I thought I was a better dive buddy than that. I volunteered for babysitting duty for about a half hour and had to play "store keeper" and "little brother" during that time. We had some great campfire discussions on Sat. night; that's all I'm going to say about that. Ber looked like she has been wearing double 100's for years---way to go, Ber. Because I dove with Div'in Hoosier all week, My "I want" list has grown again: Can light, pony bottle, a 120 steel with BPW---will it ever end???

For those who didn't make it and didn't have a good excuse, boo hoo! YOU MISSED IT!!! Why would anybody want to go to Portage when everything that happen'n is at the M & G. (I'm talk'n about the reigning Uno champ and her guitar playing friend) as I clear my throat. Boy, Paula, I sure could have used some nice soup after a couple of dives we did beyond the tubes where the water temp was about 42; where were you???? The Fall M & G is only about 7 cold months away. Hope to see you all there.

We got to Gilboa about 8:30 and we walked back to the circle, but nothing was set up yet. Just got busy with diving and never made it back there again, though I saw you guys walking all around all day. I guess I walked past Trucker Girl in the back of her van putting on her dry suit as they whirly bird beanie cap stood out to me. Now I know who you are. Perhaps we will all run into each other again sometime.
