I am not a christmas/holiday person but I like this theme. it doesn't scream RELIGION!!! The only thing I see really different is the little badge thingies.

Oh and BTW if you switch to default you might even get rid of some of the ads on the side of the screen. . . .

no, it's not optional. I can change my settings so I don't see the theme, but I cannot set what I display to everyone else. And I shouldn't have to.

I had to make a change to get that - change gender to "not specified."

I could see if they forced it on people and gave them no way out or decided that every Tuesday was going to be fascist Dictator day and everyone had to have a badge of their favorite fascist dictator. But this is a holiday that comes around every G.D. year. Are you offended when you go to the mall and see Santa Clause there, or you go to a store and there is a reference to Santa somewhere?

Or maybe some folks are just hyper sensitive to everything.

Either way oh-well. I will remember you while I sit around with my buddies eating Christmas dinner this year, far far away from anything Christmas like. . .

It is not a holiday for everyone. Hanukah started last night and will be over at nightfall on the 12th. Kwaanza starts 12/26, or Boxing Day in Great Britian &c. Chinese New Year is, what, the first Sunday after the new moon in January?

I do not have to go to a mall and see a "Santa"; I do not have to listen t X-mas music. But one of these avatars or whatever they are called just opened up in my signature without my knowledge, let alone my consent. THAT is objectionable.

I am not overly sensitive; you are because you refuse to accept that there are differences in the beliefs of the humans inhabiting this planet.

Then you see it because that's exactly what happened. They've gone in and changed badges for some folks who've complained, but you cannot opt out of displaying one of the Christmas badges.
