Went to BS today to do some checkouts on a few new pieces of gear. It seems that someone has been busy in the area of the deep dock. The suspended platform has been removed and there is a new one floating near the dock. The old dock is in a precarious condition near the wall to the left of the dock in about 40' of water. It has a buoyancy device attached and is standing at an awkward angle. There are plenty of entanglement hazards in that area so please be aware if you plan on diving there.

Conditions:
Surface Temp 50
Bottom Temp 46 @ 54'
Vis 20-25'

Hopefully the next time we dive there we will need a chainsaw to gain entry.
Happy Holidays everyone!

The platform has been that way for a month or so. Sounds like it got moved a bit though.

Hello, all,

We had a group up there a couple weekends ago working on switching out the old beat-up platform with the new one Rick had Dave building over the summer. I was not there that weekend, but my understanding is that because of visibility issues and the cold, the project was not completed. They informed the front of their progress doing this and let them know that there are still ropes, etc on the deep side. I believe they'll be making another trip up in the next couple of weeks to continue work on the platform and try to finish it up...

It takes a while to get that many cold water divers together to get it done as well as surface support. If anyone is interested in helping with this, please let me know and I can put you in touch with the guy heading up the project.

Shhhhh! Be very, very quiet.

Twats!! :D

Hello ... Hello ... Hello ... Hello ....

Did everyone run for the hills? Nearly three months since a post in this thread? That's pathetic!

Chris is gone??
