I'm headin' to FL in March/April for some vacation, after Key Largo last time I'll be up a little bit more north for the first week this time. Any recommendations for a good place to dive with in the Palm Beach area? Looking for something like 3-5 day packages, got everything with me except weights & air

Tnx!

If Boynton Beach (25 minutes south) is within your range, I really enjoy diving with Dive Boynton Beach. These are some of the best reefs the state has to offer IMO.

Out of Lake Worth Inlet (Palm Beach), I like Narcosis Dive Charters.

I dove West Palm with Force E and had a great experience and all dives were drift diving

I booked a room south of Palm Beach, something like halfway between Palm Beach & Fort Lauderdale, anything between those two places would be fine ...

Husband and son dove with Jim Abernathy and were very pleased.

For the record, it's Abernethy. And Jim has been doing this a long time and runs a good operation.

Garry,

It sounds like you're staying in Delray Beach or maybe Boca Raton. That puts a whole bunch of good operators in range just to the south as well. There's bunches and bunches of good wrecks in the Pompano area and three good boats there would be: Avid Diver, Miss Conduct, and Parrot Island.

Jupiter is a bit of a drive from W. Palm, but well worth the diving. The profiles tend to be flat, and deeper in the 80' range. I would recommend Capt. Paul, and the Temptation. He runs some three tank trips, and I would recommend Steel 100's and Nitrox to extend the BT's a bit. Every diver on our boat was diving Nitrox but one, and while we were putting in 45 minute dives, he was surfacing after 25 minutes.

Boynton beach is a great site which is south of W. Palm. I've dove with Spashdown, but did so mainly because I wanted to meet ScubaKevdm! He now has his own boat, and his DiveOp is HERE.

W. Palm has some fun dives, and there are lots of turtles in the area. I can not remember the OP we used (I've only done a handful of dives there), but I'm sure others will recommend some good OPs in the area.

Enjoy and dive safe.
