Had an offer to dive Canyon Lake today...but with only a 3/2 wetsuit and 58°F temps in the water, I decided to pass, and hold out for the 72° Comal River tomorrow morning. :D

Besides, I will be hitting Balmorhea and the San Solomon Springs again in two weeks, and Panama City in a month...woo hoo...that'll be nice!

1st dive was near Tokashiki Island in 70-80 ft visibility over clean white sand broken up by small coral reef heads. 2nd was near Toma Island where a stingray greeted me as I stepped off the dive boat followed by octopus, cuttlefish (one bigger than many dogs I see) and too many sea snakes to count. The final dive was a drift dive where we covered over a nautical mile in 20 minutes of drifting! The highlight there was an enormous eagle ray at 55 feet holding steady against the current while we went zinging by. It seemed that every single sea fan, carnation coral and featherstar was out feeding in the fast current today, beautiful!

I went to an estate sale to check on a regulator this morning but it was already gone.

The way conditions and commitments have been an OW dive this month will a breakthrough!
