. . . Its actually cheaper for me to dive the boats..
I'm trying to figure this one out. At $90 for the GypsyBlood (not including tip), which so far is the cheapest one I've seen this year, how is DS more expensive? I'm over by Newark and $32 for DS, doesn't trump $90 for a boat ride. Like I've said before, at only 1hr from the marina's, my fuel, tolls, backgas (2 sets of twins @ 28%), deco gas, boat and tip add up to about $185. How is that cheaper than DS? Please don't tell me that you mate, 'cause that's not apples for apples. I prefer the ocean, but this year especially, things are creeping up to the point where I can't do it as much as even last year. So, it'll be some more dives at the quarry. No biggie! I'm an equal opportunity diver. :D

I don't see gas going back down to $2 a gallon, so if the price is holding you back, maybe some peoples boat diving days are over. I dive air with a single lp 95 and pony so I don't have the breathing gas expense. Maybe it's time to 'get back to basics' to shave a few bucks off the cost. Plus, I don't mind paying a bit more for the 'quality' as opposed to 'quantity'. Like beer, right Jack ?

Next month Uncle George is giving everyone at least $600. That's four boat trips and change for me. He wants us to spend it, so why not on dives ? Thank you Uncle George.

Ummmm, what kinda "quality" are you getting from a 95 w/air and a pony for your dollars? LMAO You mean "quality" like tooling around the outside of debris fields in 60fsw? You might have fun breaking sacks of the DS regulars, but that ain't me phillybub. BTW- weren't you "phillybob" and got bozoed off this board? Now you're back as "phillyrob" and that's even funnier because it seems so desperate of you. Anyway, have fun around the likes of the Cadet/Brunette. If you're looking for me, I'll be in the Choapa.

Anything compared to Dutch is 'quality', even the Brunette. I can take my 95 a bit further than 60'. I have the whole breathing thing down. And I don't have to cry about not being able to afford it, either. And yeah, I AM 'phillybob', but some people on this board don't like to hear things the way they are, so they tried to run me off. I could have came back under a whole different name, but I thought 'Phillyrob' would be funnier. I couldn't have been trying to hide it, because even you figured it out. And the last I checked, the Choapa isn't at the bottom of Dutch, so how are you going to see it ? Is it next to the firetruck or the Cessna ? My signature at the bottom was put there for 'guys' like you, quarry warrior. You strap on your DIR doubles and sling your deco bottle and then head off to the helicopter. LMAO !! Now get out of here and look for some lobsters around the pumphouse, genius and let me know how you do.

Geez phillybub, getting called out for diving the Brunette with your 95 and spare air really gotcha riled up. Kids like you really make me laugh, thinking you're sooooo cleaver. I'm done with ya here, phillybub.

Let me know how those pumphouse lobsters taste.

I won't be doing as many as previous years. I'll get in six or seven instead of my usual nine, weather permitting. And I'll do the inlet a few times, like yesterday. Just have to work harder to bring home some dinner to make it all more worthwhile.
