I'm trying to figure this one out. At $90 for the GypsyBlood (not including tip), which so far is the cheapest one I've seen this year, how is DS more expensive? I'm over by Newark and $32 for DS, doesn't trump $90 for a boat ride. Like I've said before, at only 1hr from the marina's, my fuel, tolls, backgas (2 sets of twins @ 28%), deco gas, boat and tip add up to about $185. How is that cheaper than DS? Please don't tell me that you mate, 'cause that's not apples for apples. I prefer the ocean, but this year especially, things are creeping up to the point where I can't do it as much as even last year. So, it'll be some more dives at the quarry. No biggie! I'm an equal opportunity diver.. . . Its actually cheaper for me to dive the boats..
Ummmm, what kinda "quality" are you getting from a 95 w/air and a pony for your dollars? LMAO You mean "quality" like tooling around the outside of debris fields in 60fsw? You might have fun breaking sacks of the DS regulars, but that ain't me phillybub. BTW- weren't you "phillybob" and got bozoed off this board? Now you're back as "phillyrob" and that's even funnier because it seems so desperate of you. Anyway, have fun around the likes of the Cadet/Brunette. If you're looking for me, I'll be in the Choapa.I don't see gas going back down to $2 a gallon, so if the price is holding you back, maybe some peoples boat diving days are over. I dive air with a single lp 95 and pony so I don't have the breathing gas expense. Maybe it's time to 'get back to basics' to shave a few bucks off the cost. Plus, I don't mind paying a bit more for the 'quality' as opposed to 'quantity'. Like beer, right Jack ?
