And this involves mini season how?

Hmmmm what is the topic of this thread? Oh, yeah. Mini season. :dork2::lotsalove:

We had a diver telling us as we were gearing up in the parking lot that DAN was walking up to divers to verify they had and advanced cert. LOL... new divers and the things they believe! :rofl3:

Holy cow! I remember that! It was at Dania Beach. That guy truely thought if you didn't have AOW, DAN was gonna arrest you or something for being out during mini-season. that was one of those times when you just go "uh-huh" and move on. :lotsalove:

So, I'm feeling totally hijacked in this thread. Does anyone have any serious insight as to what boat ramps can be used at that hour?

15th street may be open and it's damn close to Port Everglades. I can check the hours for you if you're interested, I live a couple of blocks from the ramp.

Perhaps if you had mentioned that in your first post it would have made sense to anyone who wasn't there. stop me if I'm going too fast here....

Thanks, but I just got updated that 15th St. is open 24 hours, but they only have 57 trailer spots, and they expect it to be crazy there. I really wish John Lloyd had special hours for the season.

The Alsdorf ramp on 14th street in Pompano might be a good option if you don't mind going a little further north, three ramps with plenty of parking and I'm pretty sure they are open 24 hours. You'll want to double check the hours because I'm not 100% on that. Here's a list of South Florida ramps that may help you: Boat Ramps In South Florida  ||

There will no lines at the Boca boat ramp, and you will have no trouble launching your boat once the park ranger verifies your out-of-city $330 ramp permit.
At least in Broward county, when the other boaters are screaming and waving guns, you can understand what they are saying. In Mijami-Dade, when they're screaming and waving guns, a lot of gringos don't grasp the meaning of "Mata lo ..." until it's too late.
