Im about to do my first ever transaction online. I maybe 25 but I live on my own!

So ofcourse.. my first purchase will be a computer.

has anyone has problems, they're selection is very good and cheap.
im a tad hessitant, never ordered anything online.

Are you talking about the Gekko? If so understand the LeisurePro is not an authorized Aqualung (Suunto's North America distributor) dealer so any warranty or service will have to be with LP directly.

Aqualung has a statement specifically about LeisurePro on their website: Leisure Pro is NOT an authorized Aqua Lung dealer

Here's LeisurePro's warranty page: http://www.leisurepro.com/Content/WarrantyPolicy.html#WarrantyPolicy

Note the warranty differences, 5 years on Suunto from an Aqualung Authorized Dealer vs. 2 years from LeisurePro. And I doubt you get the 3 year free battery changes either. Something to consider.

fwiw, I paid $289 for my Gekko through their authorized dealer here. (Sport Chalet) And they gave me a $20 giftcard. :D

Having said that, I buy all sorts of things from LeisurePro. And have always been satisfied with their quality and quick shipment. My personal comfort zone stops at buying computers and regulators online though - stuff that could need technical maintenance I like to buy locally.

Order some small things first; build your confidence. I have made several purchases and never had a problem. I also buy from several other on-line sources. Shop around.

But remember, if any of your gear craps out while you are underwater, the warranty does not mean a thing. Your training and experience does.

I ordered my Veo 180 thru them almost 2 years ago(& other things from them thru the years also) with no problems...Also, have ordered many things, scuba & not, over the internet with no problems...In specific, what concerns are you having???...btw,@ age 25, you're OLD....lol....

My experience: Ordered a Cressi Archimedes 2 computer from Leisure Pro. These are still $279, I believe. I got one of a few that had a software glitch that affected the logbook function. I called LP, and they called Cressi. I got a replacement free and quickly. This is a better experience than I've had with local dive shops.

Thank you, Leisure Pro.

I bought a Suunto D9 from LP (as well as a great many other things). No problems so far.

I've ordered from them numerous times without any issues.
Very good service and fast shipping.

LP is widely considered to be reputable - they do not just rip people off. You can order something and expect to get what you ordered with complete confidence. I've ordered several items, including a dive computer, and have had no issues.

It is true they sell items that they are not "authorized" to sell. There is nothing illegal about it. You might be interested to know that, for example, CostCo also sells items they are not "authorized" to sell (certain watches, for example). What does this mean to you? You'll get a cheaper price, in exchange for lack of certain nicities about warranty and service. Big deal. If memory serves me correct, I saved something like $400 on my dive computer from them. Almost enough to buy a whole second one!

I've purchased equipment through Leisurepro and never had any problems. Just do a lot of research on line to insure you are getting the equipment you seek at the best value. Your young--and I imagine broke too--so I'll point out that Leisure Pro has some used equipment too. Maybe not for the computer (but who knows) but maybe for the rest of your gear. Good luck.

It's a good point. I am neither young nor broke, but I was still very pleased to pick up a virtually new second hand BCD for $60 from LP.
