:rofl3: If I remember correctly, I tried to catch him on the way down and you tried to catch him on the ride back up.

He did it right though, called it a day.

Is a 30 second dive a log entry?

Yep, that was the way that it went. Was that the weekend that you screwed up your shoulder slipping on the rock?

If you include the surface swim to and from the dock then I think you can log it. Depth:30' Bottom time: 30 seconds Surface swim: one minute Experience: priceless.

Hey John, welcome to KY.

I'm a new diver in west KY. This thread has me wondering if I really want to dive with these clowns. :shocked2:

I will say that the image of the "face-plant on the bottom" made me :rofl3:

When we are in the water the clowning around stops. We all are experienced enough that we know what not to do. The real fun is when we get to the surface. Ask anyone that has dove with us and I am sure they will all say the same thing.

Hey Bob!

Once you get to know us, you will understand. We ARE a fun loving bunch that enjoy the SI as much as our diving. We freely share our experiences and are more than willing to dive with a newbie as a dive master. We learn allot from each other but we tend to get carried away at times on this forum. We have even have been accused of scaring away potential divers! Can you imagine US scaring away someone??? :shakehead:

Anyway, all are free to join us and enjoy the lighter side of diving and the KPP. Initiation is free and painless. FRP is one of the few quarries to have NEVER had a critical diving accident and though we do visit the light side, we do take our diving seriously. Well, maybe other than the trouble makers around here!:rofl3:

Ya, ever since I took my deco class I got really laxed with my dive skills and habits.
Next thing you know I will be diving a jacket BC and using a single tank.:shocked2::D (this is all in fun guys).

Hey Chris, want to practice underwater beer drinking with me? Maybe we can figure out how to get moon shine into a Capri Sun package. OH,OH,OH, a hypodermic needle should work, it worked on the camp stove. :rofl3::rofl3:

Thanks for the clarification Bob..the :shocked2: kinda had me worried.

Don't take my posts too serious (unless I'm asking a diving related question). I think I'm as full of crap as you guys.

I look forward to improving my diving skills and diving with you guys. Who am I kidding, at this point, I don't care if I suck. I just want to get back into the water (and not freeze).

Krobi, "Kenny" is the only KPP member that can certify a diver for underwater beer drinking. We need to check with him! I understand it is a pretty easy certification, right on par with advanced deco....... :eyebrow:

We don't care if you suck either Bob! :D Ask questions and learn.

Don't worry about me. Life is too short to be taken serious. (diving is a bit more serious than life)

I was certified last fall, took one sport dive at Hopkinsville, took a spring diving vacation to FL last month, took a nitrox class in Evansville last weekend, but NOBODY has mentioned to me an underwater beer drinking class!!!!!

I feel like my education has been shorted! :shakehead:
