Yes... a good day and a good deed. Looks like the weather is starting to warm up. We'll be there any day now, I figure. I see your dive busddy is out of commission for a little while. Talked to Z the other day via email and he said it would be maybe about 6 weeks.

Let us know when y'all are gonna be there CB. The wife and I leave for Bermuda this weekend so we'll be gone the next 2 weekends, but after that I'm game.

I remember that day. That was sweet. Who's going down this weekend and next? I really need to get some doubles time in.

I am going this weekend, as of now I ain't got no buddies. What day you want to dive? I am taking a long weekend so should be available Fri, Sat, Sun, and Mon.

Not sure about next weekend, Kevin is graduating on Saturday, last kid out of high school, must celebrate :D

Left message on cell and home phone. Sat or Mon works for me, If sat won't be able to get there til 10:30-11. Mon can do earlier if I can get a room at the Mountaineer sun night.

Diving the Storm today. I will post a report this evening.

The pool is officially open!!!
At least as far as I am concerned.

What a beautiful day at the Storm. Possibly the nicest day and dive conditions that I have ever had at Storm. Blue, sunny sky and the water was as smooth as glass. Air temps were perfect and there wasn't even a hint of wind.

Surface temp was about 72*F and it was about 67*F at the 50' platform. The vis was about 12'-15' and we had the whole place to ourselves. We made two good dives. I was helping a colleague map the lake to finish her DM Certification.

Now I am jealous. I took the day off and was putzing aroung the house all day. Will be Storming tomorrow :D

We've been there on Memorial Day weekend. Not for us, but I hope you have a great day. People will be thick as fleas on a dog.

I am writing this post from work. I am working 52 hours over the Memorial Day weekend.

WVDiver, I hate you.

:D

Mike and I were there today and it was sweet! I had 71 at surface and a 58 somewhere probably deep. Nice little current running, 12-15 feet of vis or better ( my 12 watt Salvo is one bright little sucker), and very few people. We actually started later and missed one class that was there and the few others were not tearing things up. First dive in doubles for me since last year and it took all of a minute to get comfy. In fact first OW dive since my ice cert in Feb( busy as hell), gonna start doing some local after work stuff. KEEP an eye on the calendar on my website for days and times if you wanna join in! Will be hitting the Yough, Dog Pond, and Strawberry Quarry. Slung a 40 and deployed it ( practice) on the first dive. We hit 101 and went out along the wall to the dam. 45 min run time. 2nd dive little shallower spent most of it out at the dam and thought my comp was stuck cause we stayed at 41 feet for 15 minutes at least. Excellent trim for both of us and was very happy with the safety stop at 13 feet. Perfect trim, just a little kick to adjust for the current, and nice easy ascents. All in all a nice day just diving with an excellent buddy and no students to keep track of.
