viz sucked today!!! my sister visiting from Tenn. did a refresher class with Mark from Force-E. Too bad the visibility was so poor. I spent about 30 minutes under the west side fishing pier and bridge and could not see much.... except a few blennies and scads of sea robins.

It is true that vis was bad... My camera didn't want to cooperate, so I did some recon...

I found 6 Bumble Bee Shrimp under sea urchins... A new subject for pictures has arrived in numbers!

I'm on the Diversity for a NYE/NYD dive so I will be sleeping in on Friday morning. I do plan to still be up on Saturday morning for a dive at the bridge
But Jim, the 31st is a Thursday. Just sayin'.

hee hee!!! I don't know why I look for BHB buddies anyway, as I usually end up solo once I get in the water and start taking pics and my buddies drift away. If I can get my butt outtabed early enough Thursday and if it isn't a freezing cold day, I'm coming up.

Is the East span still diveable, or did construction start?

Indeed bad viz. I wonder if it all that rain and wind?

Hey I met you on Sunday "with the scubaboard T-Shirt

Well, as I seem to be doing a lot of Bridge dives lately I decided to just make one thread and add to it as I shoot more images. Any of you other BHB divers may feel free to add images, or post bridge related stuff here.

***PLEASE BE AWARE; THE BRIDGE IS A NO TAKE ZONE FOR COLLECTING. ANYONE CAUGHT TAKING ANY LIVING THING FROM THE AREA WILL BE TURNED OVER TO THE PARK RANGERS.***

We did the bridge both Saturday and Sunday this past weekend. (4/4 & 4/5) Vis was okay on Saturday, but went to poop on Sunday. I saw a lot of the usual subjects & nudis, but I did find a couple of new things.

Hey Scott,
to insert an image it asks for the url... do you have to have a web site to add an image?
Suz?

Lost on Sunday a yellowish clip bullet weight with the initials of EIR on it. If found please PM me Plus I still have the hood I found in the water almost a month ago

Friends told me they saw a man & his daughter carrying a baggie full of fish to their black Nissan pathfinder with Illinois plates. The FWC & sheriff were parked in the lot but when told they said they didn't see it so whose to say they caught the fish there. I say who takes their fish out for a walk? Whether caught by wading snorkeling or diving I believe the entire area is a no take zone & there is a posted sign so questions should have been asked. If they say look battery operated fish (LOL) or we just took them out of the home aquarium for a breathe of fresh salt air fine but at least ask.

I still miss seeing our red seahorse from last year :(
