Stayed at the Occidental Grand - OK
4 days diving with Blue Magic - Great
First attempts shooting pictures with my "DIY" strobe setup - OK, and encouraging
Dinner at El Moro - Great
Weather for the week - Fair at best. First time in 12 trips we've wanted long pants & sweatshirts. Port closed 2 mornings. Very windy.

Great shots! My wife is going to be mad, I saw a tarantula in the back garden at Park Royal and for the whole two weeks she searched: nothing. She will love that shot of yours. Thanks for putting the shots up. kev
 
What was your setup and how was your strobe DIY?

Thanks to everyone for the comments & kudos.

In the interest of saving money, I tried to do as much myself as possible- designed & built/bought the tray & arm parts, boiught an older strobe on Craigs List, and used an HW adapter to convert the camera flash to strobe TTL.
Total $$ was about $300 for the strobe addition shown.

Camera: Canon A720IS, Housing: Canon WP-DC16, Strobe: Sea & Sea YS-90TTL w/ Nikonos cable, HW Digital Adapter, Fantasea Nano Focus Light, Arm/Tray Parts/Material: McMaster Carr
