I didn't even realize there was a solo-diving sub-forum. I guess that whole long post I wrote up yesterday was all-for-naught. Just to clarify, I wasn't trying to tell current solo-divers what to do, I was just wanting to give prospective solo-divers some pre solo-diving advice. Had I known there was a whole forum devoted to the subject, I wouldn't have written it.

Hey, lol, dude, chill, it is all good. We solo divers are a rough crowd, nobody will have us and we are mean and we stink .

So, anyways, for my beating up on you, I am sorry:kiss2: but I will not promise not to do it again, because it is my nature.

Oh, that was a nice report you did too :). I just do not follow rules because I am antisocial.

Peace:D and love :blinking:

Oh, I will solo dive with you any time, you go east, I go west :).

We can meet at the bar later and beat people up or get beat up, whichever, if you drunk, it don't matter cuz you cannot remember who got the best of it.

I'm going solo diving on Friday if you're interested.

1+. It was a good post.

The only way ideas get discussed (fought over, argued, etc.,) is to throw caution to the wind and post what you think.

It is a great way to either confirm that your opinion might be "fact", or to be exposed to a "different reality", or none of the above when the discussions go sideways :idk:

The trouble with solo diving (and scuba, and many activities) is that there are often multiple ways to accomplish the same thing. While sometimes there really will be a "right" and "wrong" way, it is more likely that there are several ways. And each of us will fight to the bitter end defending the way we do it

You get to step back, read the various view points, and decide what works for you.

The main advice I'd give, and it has already been given I think, is to take things slowly when starting out (either solo or with a buddy), be careful, and have fun!!

Best wishes.

It might have been a good post, but this one sucks . . . 'cause you don't mention where the other one is!!! :rofl3:
