I've got a bit of a problem storing my tanks. My housemate's have effectively evicted them from the living room, which leaves me with a choice of a) outside in a closet or b) my bedroom. I usually keep the tanks filled so I can dive when the shop isn't open, so I'm a bit sketched about keeping them in my bedroom, but I'm concerned about humidity and solvents in the outdoor closet (degreaser, motor oil, etc). My tanks are an AL80 and a painted LP72.

You put 'em in your car to get to the water, don't you?
Lay them down in a corner of your bedroom. They (and you) will be just fine.

I put them in the trunk of my car, which somehow felt a bit different to under my bed. Although, I guess if my bed gets rear-ended I've got bigger problems.

That's right. Don't fear the tank; respect the tank, but don't fear it.

I keep mine in my garage. I live in TN. and the humidity is high. They will be fine in either locations.

I keep mine on my back, right next to my head!:shocked2:

But when they're not there, in the bedroom would be a better choice than a greasy outdoor closet. Personally my tanks are usually in the back of my van, at the dive shop getting filled, or on my back.

Respect, but don't fear.

Perhaps just a quick paint job, call them modern art, and the housemates will let them stay in the living room...?

Actually that's what we did with the surfboards and snowboards. They're mounted on the wall over the dining table. Slightly different weight distribution though :)

Room, full, set up with regs and bc to look at or go.

Why cause your girl friend will get jealous you are sleeping with a cylinder?? :D

5 Reasons why cylinders are better than a girlfriend

Cylinders do not mind a visual inspection.

You can use more than one cylinder in a day.

Cylinders dot not mind when you double them up.

If you do not have one, renting one is legal.

Cylinders do not mind a little gas.

:rofl3:
