Where and how would someone sign up for and take the technician course for servicing requlators that they have purchased? Or, do you have dealers/service techs that are not listed on your Dealers page? I see nothing in Canada and therefore assume I am stuck on my own.

There are a few dealers not listed, however other than me there aren't any Canadian service course instructors, and this Canadian isn't living in Canada anymore.

Tell you what, it's pretty simple, find me a TDI instr in your neck of the woods who is an experienced reg tech as well, if they want to offer the course they can call me and I will do the instructors course for them so they can teach you. Or you can visit an instructor down here, many of them have some SWEET local diving!

It is too bad that I have to recruit people to become instructors for product that I do not yet have. It is my own fault for not asking earlier. Well, since the order is en route, I will have the HOG reg that I already ordered but will not spare any more money until someone is available in Canada to either service my gear OR show me how to service my gear.

One more question: Since I am obviously unwilling to go out and try to recruit people to become technicians for the HOG line, was Canada ever to be part of the web of distribution/service? If yes, when was that channel expected to be in place?

You can come down and dive with me...DRIS is one of the places you can take the tech course....of course that would mean another trip across the bridge..

Steve - this is the perfect opportunity to find a technician instructor in Florida so you can justify the travel to take the class. I believe it is at least a two week course.... right?

Free babysitting for newborns?

Of course Canada is open to having dealers, I have a couple already in Canada. The point is they aren't yet qualified to offer the reg clinic. Mostly because they are either lacking in qualifications to take the course or not TDI instructors.

The facts are it takes time to develop distribution, especially for a value product where you are controlling costs to keep the price reasonable.

If you have trouble getting your gear serviced, let me know. I will do it for you personally.

Best,

Chris

What (is there) a charge to become an instructor? (Assuming you are a qualified tech diver and Regulator tech)

You need to be a TDI Instructor
