You might as well buy it from DX since it's cheaper and it seems neither party actually has them available at the moment anyway.

Don't confuse that light with the original light that started this thread. While both are 1200 lumens, they are not the same light. The light in the ebay link is only rated to 30M. After talking to Adrian from Novae yesterday, the Photic 1200 should be available in a week to week and a half.

Novae seems to be selling a similar light now on Ebay for $189 buy-it-now. No batteries or charger included though.

That light seems to have a crenelated bezel like the original light. I don't understand why they keep putting sharp edged (attack bezels) on dive lights. They don't need those external (heat) fins either since it's being used in water.

At least the version in the OP has a smooth (recessed) bezel but it uses D sized lithium rechargeable batteries. I think they may be a little (lot) harder to find than 18650's.

I'd certainly like to see a review when someone actually gets to dive with one. Since it's available at DX for $130 there is no reason to pay $190 however.

Keep in mind that the 1200 lumens is not OTF and it's only if it's being driven to 5 amps. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Thanks Adrian!!! Ordered a few 1200's today. If these perform half as good as my 900's have so far they will make for an outstanding light!

Just ordered two as well. Very anxious to see how well they are going to perform. My friend has the 900 version and loves it, so I have a pretty good feeling about it.

Time will tell.

When you guys get the Photic 1200, can you please post a review? Don't forget the beam shots and comparison to the MC-E diving light (size, brightness, duration, etc).
