I am completely unaware of doing it, but given that I have chewed entirely through a mouthpiece, I must bite down reasonably hard.

My original mouthpiece didn't fit my mouth at all ... just made it sore. My SeaCure is so comfortable that I carry a pe-molded spare along on trips.

+1 for the Aqua Lung Comfo-Bite Mouthpiece. I have a really strong GAG reflex and some of the others I've tried are too long even after trimming a bit. The way this fits behind your top teeth is very natural and takes no effort to keep it in!

SeaCure affects the performance of the SS!! I used to use it but after testing the regulator with and without it, there is definitely a difference. We verified this information with the manufacturers of the regs. You probably notice that the SeaCure opening is smaller than the SS opening and thus affecting the air flow.

I was seriously biting during my first OW dive, my jaw was so sore afterwards and my jaw was popping afterwards for a while, i try hard to let not bite anymore
