Man Bitten By Shark In Bahamas

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- A 55-year-old captain of a diving vessel was bitten by a shark in the Bahamas and airlifted to a West Palm Beach hospital Wednesday.

The U.S. Coast Guard said Jim Abernethy was bitten on the arm while on a diving excursion about 18 miles north of West End, Bahamas.

Sandra and I were horrified when we heard the first reports --when nothing was really known other than he was on his way to the hospital.....We are very happy to hear that the injuires were relatively minor. Jimmy is unlike anyone else --- he is a resource in the diving world, and he lives, eats and breathes the new understanding and protection of sharks....

Knowing Jimmy, he will probably want to go back and "bond" with this shark now, and make it one of his buddies, like Emma the Tiger shark.

Ok I am glad he is ok,

But the whole thing is wrong just not natural and is just teaching these endangered creatures a unnatural habit.
My thought is how many are going to have bit before they ban it in the Bahamas?
it's all about money $$$$$$$$$ nothing more> nothing less< for all the shark tour operators! and the Bahamian government.
Got to feed sharks go to Pier 1 Grand Bahamas stay dry,have a drink and toss your meal over the porch when the bell rings!
