While reading the thread (How R U on basic hand signals?), there was some commentary about eating underwater.

Not that I can imagine actually needing to do this myself, it did get me wondering...what could i consume underwater?
First thing that came to mind was drinking from a camelback or some such, but it also occurred to me that energy gel packs (like runners use) could be handy in a pinch.

Any other thoughts on foods that could be consumed underwater?

That's what I thought of, but I've been informed that Snickers, Baby Ruths, any solid candy bar in its original wrapper do just fine. :chuckle:

Also very easy to eat grapes and berries, they taste a bit salty but are extremely refreshing.

Almonds and walnuts are also doable but a bit too dry. I figure anything that won't absorb too much water will work, I guess breads would be the among the worse things to try.

lots of things, but be prepared to share with the Sgt. Majors or they will get feisty!

Great idea! Berries and nuts would do well.

I'm thinking a PB&J wouldn't do so well.

Soup would work in a one-way slurpy cup. :D

Capri Sun! Stuff one in a pocket and you are good to go. If I have a bad cough I carry one in case I start coughing underwater.
