First, I'm not suggesting anyone do this but looking at the links that Jim put out there, couldn't someone order a NAUI, SEI, PADI or what ever card. I know I ordered a replacement card once and it looked totally different then the one I had lost. How does anyone know that the card they are being given is legit?

I know it would be dangerous, illegal (copyright) and stupid.

FM1520,
WRSTC :: World Recreational Scuba Training Council On this page there is a small pull-down window at the bottom of the page that says, "Select a WRSTC Agency...". Using that window will provide you a list of their agencies.

Interesting only the commercially focused agencies in Europe are listed.

In the UK we have:
BSAC - UK & England Governing Body
SSAC - Scotland Governing Body
WASAC - Walsh Governing Body
NI Underwater Federation - NI Governing Body
SAA - CMAS UK representative

NAUI, PADI, YMCA, NASDS, SSI, SDI/TDI/ERDI, SEI, PSAI, ACUC, BSAC, CMAS, NASE, PDIC, ANDI, DAN, HSA, IDEA, IANTD, Red Cross, LA County, NACD, NCC-CDS
Interesting list.

It includes most of the certifying agencies likely to be encountered in the US (although it is missing MDEA). But it also includes two agencies (DAN and the Red Cross) who do not certify divers. And there’s a typo. NCC-CDS should be NSS-CDS

If the list were to be international it could be quite a bit longer with some of the more notable missing agencies being CEDIP, ISA, and SSAC.

Was the list compiled by an insurance carrier? or … ?

I want to know why ONS SCUBA is not included.

A shocking omission !

Our shop has a list of c-ards that we will accept, and we will accept no others. For the most part, the list is determined by the c-card being covered by insurance indemnity.

Interesting. In practice, it is hard to believe that an active-duty US Navy SEAL or Diver with a valid ID would be denied an air fill.

As would an IMCA/DCBC/HSE/ANSI/ACDE Certified Commercial Diver with a Mixed-Gas/Closed Bell Ticket. Go figure....
