Hi All,

I just bought a used Mares Puck. I'd like to reset it to factory defaults; mainly, i'd like to clear the logbook. Will removing the battery do that? Is there a different way to do it? I have the USB cable if that's any help.

Cheers,

Andre

Hi Andre, there is no true way to reset to factory default. You can reset the profile by engaging the desaturation feature under settings function. I am mostly sure taking the battery out will not achieve what you are looking to do. However if you try this, I suggest taking the battery out for over 24 hours as there is a capacitor in the unit, specifically designed to offer enough power for the computer to retain some information in the event of a battery change.

I hope this helps.

Zak

Thanks Zak. I'll give it a try.

Hey Andre, I just saw this thread. Did removing the battery achieve the expected results? I may want to do the same at some point in the future and like to know if there were any "unexpected consequences"
Thanks
Neil

I also wanted to reset my Puck, as there are two (very illogical) dives already in the logbook, although I just bought it, new, from an unopened box. I would mainly want to reset the logbook. Everything else is fine. Thanks!

The dives that are on it are probably "test" dives, done to check the computers calibration. I would leave them on there.
