Franchesca is an excellent instructor. I've seen her in action a few times. Knowledgeable and patient. My daughter did her check out at Buddy Dive a few years ago with a DM who has now left the island but the overall process was outstanding and the location was great for a newbie in terms of entry, access to tanks, organization etc. and overall a great shore dive site. Have never been out on a dive with Tina. I think that just about all of the dive ops on Bonaire are excellent and will meet your girlfriends needs. The bottom line is really where are you staying?

I haven't done any training with her, but Erika at Toucan (plaza inn) is an excellent dm and a really nice person.

Suus Zelders at Dive Friends is great. She is a Master Scuba Diver Trainer.

The divi has 2 or 3 female instructors.

So it seems there is no shortage on the island.

We have settled on Belmar oceanfront apartments. I guess Chrissy only runs the property and doesn't do the instructor thing anymore. BonairePros rep said they would get with buddy dive to set someone up.

As said earlier, Buddy Dive can set you up with a good female Instructor.
