A polar bear learning to raid trash cans is an example of the bear taking advantage of an easy food source, avoiding rubber bullets would be another. Sharks avoid a diver's bubbles because it is easier for them to avoid the diver and never know the risk. I do know that in heavily spearfished areas, the fish will avoid divers. Humans are just exceptionally good at learning and adapting.
