Ayisha - check temperature in your logbook, then switch units to metric and check logbook again. Temp in Celsius should be around 5 deg higher then actual temp of the water. Conversion from C to F is WRONG. They just don't want to admit it, I guess.
Mine logged 23F couple weeks ago, while the water temp was arond 42.
Unless that processor is so powerfull that it's cooling itself.

Other then that, computer is great. I'm planning on getting second one soon.

Pawel believe me if that would be a matter of C / F conversion it would be corrected in a seconds ...

Each user that register the unit on manufacturer website / user interface (its mandatory by user agreement) is receiving all info about the updates and important info regarding the product user has registered, info may or may not occasionally do appear on our manufacturer FB page / US distributor FB page or in other sources.

I did register and have yet to receive any emails regarding updates, future updates, or important information pertaining to issues. I will continue to monitor FB pages, the best I can.

One less without me. I'm just not a guinea pig kinda guy. And I'm not sure that I trust ANYTHING that Seb says any more. Personally I don't care that they work on the moon or in the Marianas Trench - just that they don't lock up in the middle of a recreational dive.

Uh...... From reading the past 117:wink: posts you've had on this thread I think we can all agree you sure wanted to be a "guinea pig kinda guy". Sounds like you were ready in line with money in hand up till about 2 months ago.

I don't buy first runs of anything, there will always be bugs to work out as DRIS brought up. I can understand being skeptical with any new information they get out, and they probably didn't handle it as they should. But, I think most of us don't understand the logistical issues a manufacturer faces on a daily basis. I would like to believe that xblack was being mislead on the lead time of materials arriving for production. I'm sure they've been told "2 weeks" by their suppliers also. It also appears that demands has far exceeded their expectations, and manufacturing abilities. Which is a pretty big kudo's to them for getting people in line to purchase before even holding a working model in hand.

I mean no harm, your emotionally charged replies have been quite entertaining for the most part. :).

Putting such powerful processor carries additional work to be done as you see but still its worth compared to unmatched benefits i.e. three different algorithms calculated at the same time, first and only accurate digital compass and many more ...

I guess the time for doing that additonal work is after release, huh? Would also love to hear an objective defense of the claim that this has the "first and only accurate digital compass" vs. things like the Lynx, Cobalt, and NERD.

Hello Jerry...!

Advanced (very I would call that) xdeep black compass testing was done by Steve Martin (well known sidemount instr.), info can be found in his posts and if I'm right his own facebook page. About wide inaccuracy other brands compasses I have heard quite often from other computer users ... you be the judge, to me its the fastest responding, very readable and accurate one.

So...no comparative data to back up your claim, then? It's one thing to say you have a great compass. It's quite another to claim to have the "first and only accurate digital compass" when lots of other pieces of hardware have great digital compasses.
