Storker, broad brushes only started getting used after Gian opened the door. Fwiw, I am aware that there are holdouts from the EU.
Honestly, I could give 2 craps what other countries do...but when Gian wants to critique the system we use here, especially when his way includes blaming spoons for making people fat, I get a bit pissed off. Personally I would like to take all people from any country that thinks the way he does, drop them into their own little world, isolate them from everyone else and put their courtroom antics on tv for everyone to watch..it will be pure comedy, and everyone will be getting either sued frivolously or put on criminal trial for polluting the environment with carbon dioxide.

A piece of advice: Don't argue with idiots. They only drag you down to their own level and beat you with experience.

And then a request: the next time you get pissed at Gian, remember that the idiot fraction probably is about the same on both sides of the pond. And then try to stay away from unfounded Euro-bashing and Fox News level stereotype just because he's European. IMO, that's not what primarily characterizes him. OK?

Who was euro bashing? If anything gian was US bashing. All anyone here did was tell him to piss off, as we don't have the same set of rules here.
I am aware that the idiot fraction is likely the same...and my dream world of idiots for our amusement on tv includes quite a few people from the US.

Additional news flash...unlike in Europe, Americans are considered responsible for their own actions. The authorities realize that a shoe manufacturer is not liable for a person tripping over their own feet.
Our ancestors left Europe so that we wouldn't have to submit to the idiocracy that runs so rampant there. Although there is a good deal of it here these days, I am thankful that it obviously isn't as bad as it is in Europe.
Emphasis mine.

Seriously??? The US is the most litigious country on earth, where it is common-place for people to sue corporations for ridiculous reasons. We Canadians regularly shake our heads at some of the stuff we see on the news coming from south of the border!

I think if Carlos had been an American, his family would have sued Ginnie for being too deep to breath O2!

What does civil litigation have to do with criminal investigation?

That isn't bashing..it's historical fact. Why did the colonists leave England? Why did Europeans depart thier respective countries in mass quantities TWICE in the last 150 years?

I'm aware that there are countries in Europe that are a bit more level headed than say France, Spain, Italy etc...but the stereotype goes both ways. In the US we have major differences in societal norms between different states. Gian would probably feel right at home in California or New York...conversely he would fell highly out of place in Alabama or Tennessee.

Remember that that quote you used from me was in response to gian indicating that the rest of the entire world would have treated that scenario as a crime scene...which is total horse****.

"the idiocracy that runs so rampant there"

We obviously have different definitions of 'historical fact' and 'bashing'. Also of the use of present tense regarding 'historical'.
