I do have a set of red hoses, but when Bryan said "no more red hoses" I put them away for special occasions.

True, every dive with a Kraken double hose is a special occasion here in Australia... lots of incredulous looks and then many questions when they realise its a modern version!

Just dove mine for 24 dives on a liveaboard trip to Cuba and it did generate a lot of interest.

That red armor looks like it could also be the attachment point for a red bubble diffuser over the vents?

I think Bryan attempted to install a mesh type bubble diffuser inside a Kraken; but it had little lasting effect as the bubbles re-aggregated once outside the case.

I can certainly see that happening. The diffuser would have to be outside the case so that bubbles would exit the vents and then disperse inside the diffuser before exiting at a slower rate and over a greater area. The diffuser would need to be perforated with small round holes rather than a mesh- which allows the bubbles to escape too close together. I think the diffuser would only cover the top half of the can and be open at the bottom to allow excess gas to escape if the diver was breathing hard and therefore exhaling large amounts.
I would like to get one of those armors and see what I could attach to it!
