While viewing SB on my phone, I sometimes receive a confirmation request (SB formatted screen) asking if I really want to "Like" the post I just hit Like on. Why is this?

I just got one of those today while on my desktop. On my second try, no problem. Some strange behavior lately on SB.

It is very intermittent. Not sure what causes it. Have had a couple other SB users tell me they have seen it.
I was going to mention that after I "Liked" my first one (couple of days ago), since that time, I had not received the permission request, but sure enough, I went to "Like" your post, and what happened?

I've seen it intermittently as well. I have also noticed at times the place to post has been missing (not "reply to post"). I go back to the home page and back to the thread and now I can reply.

Yep, even on my laptop using Chrome.
I could have sworn I saw a thead about this just yesterday but I can't find it. In the other thread, or in a crazy dream, @The Chairman responded that he believed it was a bandwidth limitation he was working to resolve.
