I’m going to be in Huntsville, AL for work for 6 weeks. I will be driving there this Saturday and Sunday? I will have weekends off, barring catastrophe. Should I bring my dive gear? Is there anyplace to dive within an hour of Huntsville? Am I likely to find a dive buddy? If I was to find a lake or quarry what temperatures am I likely to encounter? Thanks

Diveland park in Glenco, Alabama is about 1.5 hours from Huntsville. Not a bad setup at all and a good option to get wet and work on some skills.

I went to Bluewater Park today with a friend from class. Conditions were great and we had a great time. Thanks for the input everyone.

We are on vacation near Huntsville Alabama in Toney . Not diving but anytime in the water would
be good as it is 100 degrees topside . It is not the same as Florida , no humidity but hot !
Hope you have a good time diving . Stay cool .
