It is indeed troubling. I am saying that one can take action but they should do so knowing they are not going to change the ultimate outcome.
Same was said about close to extinct creatures....have to start somewhere!

On my last Coz dive trip (August 2019), the DM's at Blue Angel took us to a bunch of "nothern" sites like Barracuda, San Juan, Punta Tunicha, Dalila, Paso del Cedral and others. I believe these sites and a lot of other great dive sites will not be restricted because they are north of the Palancar Reefs. Shorter boat rides too! I also thought the water clarity was better at these sites. For some reason, the southern sites seemed to have less visibility when compared to my March 2019 trip.

I'm still going to Coz in December!
It's fairly common for the southern dive sites to have lower visibility when there is strong wave action on the other side of the island. It churns up fine particulates and the current sweeps them around the south end into the dive sites.

So, do you guys plan to share GPS coordinates for all those other sites so that the other dive operations can find them? Or are you just going to take advantage of the situation to enhance your bottom line?

Do you know why there are patents?

Um, yes, but what has that got to do with anything?

A patent protects the owner of an invention for some period of time so they can recoup costs and yes, even turn a profit after putting in what is sometimes a great deal of time and effort into whatever it is they are requesting the exclusive right to market.

It wouldn't be fair if someone devoted all their resources to a particular project and others who have done no work whatsoever, turn a profit due to the efforts of others.

I think Memo invested a lot of time, effort and dollars finding those sites - I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting on coordinates

The real question is how long it will take to become general knowledge anyway. Probably just a few weeks at most.
