Does anyone know what this is supposed to be? Is that big Allen head screw on the bottom for adjusting it? I just set up my 109 prime and legend safe 2nd with a brand new D2 and I am getting an IP reading of 155.

IP of 155 is a bit high, but not egregiously so. 135-145 is more in the normal range, but IP gauges are usually not precise, especially if they're tiny gauges so I wouldn't worry about it.

That allen key is most definitely not the IP adjustment, that lives under the environmental seal

agree 135 is what the book says and i teach ..........

That's what I expected. All my other firsts read 135 on the same gauge so it's a little weird. The firsts I have on it seem to be fine. I guess we'll see when I get in the water.

I had to have mine serviced it kept creeping up till it blew my power inflator second air at 25 ft..... These regulators breathe great and it gave signs IP pressure was to high. It kept free flowing my second air and I thought it was the Sherwood second air which has been know to have free flow issues.

it held the ip at 155 for about 6 hours and then i just gave up. tuned my 2nds to be more resistant to free flow. let's see what happens in the pool next month.

I would prefer to adjust the 1st stage IP first as its easier and less finicky.

Do tell.

1.Remove the environmental seal retaining ring @ the very bottom of the first stage (not the one above it) with a pin spanner.
2.Let the round plastic (transmitter) thing fall out. Now you have a non-sealed functioning regulator.
3.Put the 1st stage (WITH the second stage, HP gauge, and LP inflator hose attached ) on a full-ish tank.
4.Plug the IP gauge into the inflator hose.
5.Pressurize the regulator.
6.With a 6mm(?) hex-head wrench placed in hex-shaped hole on the bottom of the regulator you can turn slightly R or L to alter the IP.
7.Purge the second stage as necessary.
