I would add that you should choose the thickness depending on the temperature of the water you usually dive in
Water temp is usually around 20-25C(Adriatic Sea) and that suggests 5mm but i dived in 7mm Seac so far and i was very happy with it. I would rather be somewhat hot and let the cold water if needed:

I see Miami for your location, but you mentioned Adriatic Sea in your other thread. When I was in Florida last January, most of the locals were diving 5mm suits. At your size, I wouldn’t think that you’d need a 7mm, but you would have to make that call.

Given your location (plenty of dive shops within a one hour drive), I’d go try some on. If you buy online, it can be hit or miss. Personally though...I like Henderson.

Adriatic sea is a bit colder. So if gget cold easy, go for a 7mm.
otherwise I use a 5mm for those conditions.

After thinking a bit harder about i decided i really want to go for 7mm. So now it is
-Mares Triflexa 7-5-3
-Hnderson Thermaxx Titanium 7mm
- Aqua Lung SolaFx 8.7
Heard only great things about SolaFx and same about Thermaxx. Which one is a better suit?

@oly5050user Grew up in a 3rd world country i wore thorn, tight, oversized.. and i was fine(happy). I completely understand why buying a new suit in the store and actually making sure it fits right is crucial, but i just cant do that it’s simply not something i often do when it comes to scuba.

Was thinking about that but i am just too embarrassed to go try a couple of suits and not buy any from them. I feel like they know who is a buyer and who is just trying out suits lol

Something like this...I’d just buy local if you can. You aren’t going to save enough by buying online that it’s worth it to find a suit that fits, put it back, and order one online hoping that it fits identically (that’s just my take on it though).

I really loge Aqua Lock suits! That checkmarks a lot in my case. Unfortunately, none available on the market(offerup, ebay, Facebookmarketplace at the moment). Getting a lot of replies about the suit thickness and how cold is the water. Assuming my question was wrongly composed.. really just trying to understand the brands and quality. For example if we have Cressi, Bilabong and Rocy on the tae
I am sure all of us would pick Cressi. Same
Thing i am trying to do with Bare, Henderson, Aqualung..
what i am getting here and on reddit for Henderson is : warm(fire fleece), comfortable and easy don donoff (stretchy) and good quality long lasting. Mostly recommended.
And then for Aqualung SolaFx it seems just like there are no cons for this one its a straightforward recommendation worry free suit.

Most people like what they have and that’s what they’re going to recommend. Ex. I have three Henderson wetsuits and a Henderson dove skin, so that’s what I’m recommending.
